Description:

The full circuit (180 km / 112 miles) starts and ends in Chiquián. In 12 days, it circles the northern side of one the most beautiful mountain ranges in the world, continues through its eastern side and ends at the western side. It crosses a rosary of snow-capped peaks such as Yerupajá (6634 masl / 21765 fasl) and dozens of lakes and clearings. The short route (Llamac - Jahuacocha) takes 2 days. Degree of difficulty: high. Minimum time: 2 days.

			Location: Ancash, Chiquián (3090 masl / 10138 fasl), province of Bolognesi.
			Weather: Weather: intensely dry and cold. Average temperature: 5°C (41°F).
			Best season: Best season: from May to September.
			Access Routes: By road: Lima - Huaraz (400 km / 249 miles), in 8 h. There is public transportation from Huaraz to Chiquián (110 km / 68 miles south of Huaraz).
