COTAHUASI RAFTING RIVER

Description:

The scene of many adventure sports during the Ecosport Adventure Festival of Cotahuasi (first week of May). This river runs along the deepest canyon in the world, and includes amazing class III and IV rapids. Fishing in the higher areas, such as Alca. In Cotahausi. Basic traveler services only. Minimum time: 2 days.

Useful Information :

			Location: Arequipa, Arequipa Region
			Weather: semi-dry and cold with rain from December to March. Average temperature: 15ºC (59ºF).
			Best season: from April to October.
			Access Routes: By plane: to Arequipa, flights from Lima (1:20 h), from Cusco (50 min), and from Juliaca (30 min). By road: Arequipa - Cotahuasi (375 km / 233 miles): 9 h.
