Wasai lodge is the last lodge on the Tambopata River. Located on the banks of the Tambopata River; approximately four and a half hours from Puerto Maldonado (approximately 120 km on the river route); in the heart of the Tambopata - Candamo National Reserve, the lodge is surrounded by primary rainforest.
The strategic location of the lodge, on the border of the Tambopata - Candamo National Reserve and Bahuaja - Sonene National Park, along with resident naturalist researches, allows for the development of a series of carefully designed programmes all year round. Accommodation is in rustic bungalows with private bathrooms. The lodge also has an ample dining room and conference room.
There are 20 km of forest trails around the lodge along with local communities at Baltimore, the El Gato Waterfalls, in addition to parrot and mammal clay licks

Is located in the tropical town of Puerto Maldonado in Southeast of Peru. Accommodation at the Lodge consists bungalows raised on stilts in the local architectural style to blend with the natural surroundings. Every bungalow offers a relaxing view of the Madre de Dios River and a wonderful sunrise.

Bungalows:

Each bungalow at Wasai Lodge is almost 40 m² nicely decorated and equipped to fit your every need. We offer queen size beds, small refrigerator, hot & cold water, air conditioner (optional $ 10 by night), fans, cable TV, telephone, etc.

Restaurant:

The lodge's restaurant sits 25 m. above the river bank, offering a wonderful view of the river and surrounding vegetation. Our cuisine is touted the best in the region, specializing in typical and international fare.

Swimming Pool:

The small swimming pool and waterfalls are surrounded by native vegetation, offering a wonderful sight of the Madre de Dios River. Exotic and traditional drinks can be enjoy at the poolside bar.

The Wasai Maldonado Lodge is the starting and finishing point for most of Wasai’s eco-tours and expeditions. We also offer full day and half day tours to places of interest close to Puerto Maldonado, it is ideal to combine one or more days in the jungle and the comfort of our lodge in the town.
